Rimini, Rimini, Rimini!
One, one thousand one hundred Riminis, our city has many faces and identities, starting with the changes it undergoes from one season to the next, showing off its sunnier side in summer and its more artistic and cultural side in winter. Monuments and archaeological finds follow one another in a journey through our historic centre, which has seen changes in recent years that have enhanced its attractions even more. Augustus Arch, Tiberius Bridge, the Malatesta Temple and the large, renovated square of Castel Sismondo, which is flanked by the wonderful Galli Theatre. You can discover these treasures in detail with guided tours organised by the city's cultural institutions.
The ancient land of freedom
A few kilometres from the sea stands proud and majestic on Mount Titano, the Republic of San Marino, one of the oldest in the world, founded in 301 AD. A trip to San Marino is a journey back in time, full of historical re-enactments, celebrations of ancient rites that still govern life in this ancient land of freedom. A holiday in the Romagna area should not exclude a trip to this place suspended in time.
The most beautiful villages in our country
Some of the villages of our hinterland are considered among the most beautiful in Italy. These include Verucchio, San Leo, Torriana and Montebello, to just name the most important ones, but the list is even longer if you go as far as the borders with the Marches and Tuscany and discover Gradara and Sant'Agata Feltria. Just a few kilometres away are wonderful views, beautiful in summer and fascinating throughout the year. These villages tell stories of the Middle Ages that are still celebrated today with typical festivals and fairs during the harvest seasons.
The cycle path along the Marecchia river
Over the last few years, Rimini's road system has transformed the city, giving way to a long cycle-pedestrian route that runs from the seafront up the Marecchia river to Novafeltria, about 35 km from Rimini. This fantastic route in the heart of the Marecchia Valley reveals enchanting landscapes and along the way you can admire the villages perched on the hills. You will reach the ancient villages of Verucchio, San Leo, the sanctuary of the Madonna di Saiano and a stop in each of these places will be an opportunity to discover even more of our hinterland.
